Citizens Academy
What is Citizens Academy?
The City of American Canyon Citizens Academy is a free, nine-week program that gives residents an inside look at how City government operates. Participants will meet the people who keep the City running, explore different departments, and gain a better understanding of how decisions are made that affect everyday life in American Canyon.
Each week focuses on a different City department, including public safety, parks and recreation, finance, public works, planning and more. Through presentations, discussions and hands-on activities, participants will discover how each team contributes to building a safe, vibrant and well-managed community.

- Time: 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, plus two Saturday daytime sessions for hands-on activities
