This application is for small, non-structural projects that don't require formal construction plans or a lengthy plan review, allowing for same-day or quick issuance. Examples include like-for-like replacements for re-roofing, water heater, window replacement and HVAC.

"Large Plan" applications with multi-sheet submittals by a Registered Architect, Structural Engineer, or Civil Engineer will receive a first review within 21 business days (scanning requirements(PDF, 209KB)). Permits exceeding 10 MB must be mailed or submitted via share file or Dropbox link.
Step 3. Fee Payment and Receipt
City Fees
Our staff will review your application for accuracy and completeness, calculates the required fees, then email you a link to pay your permit fees. Once payment is received, you'll get a receipt with your permit number, which you should use in all communications about the permit. If revisions are needed, you'll receive a comment letter via email. Resubmittals will follow the same process using the Resubmittal, Deferred Submittal, Revision Application.
Once approved, you'll receive your approved plans and Building Permit Card by email. Print these documents and have them available on-site for inspections. Do not begin your project without them to avoid fines.
